Mikaela Camarata

Ms. Camarata serves as a Petroleum Engineer at Pontem Energy, where she focuses on reserves evaluation, petroleum economics, and non-operated working interest analysis, working extensively in ARIES and Microsoft Access-based asset databases. Prior to joining Alamo, she spent two summers as an Operations Engineering Intern at Riley Exploration Permian, focusing on artificial lift optimization across ESP and rod pump systems — evaluating declining well performance, planning timely lift conversions, and conducting economic analyses on equipment upgrades to reduce failures and extend equipment life — with time in the field observing drilling, completions, and workover operations firsthand. As the Planning and Economics Engineer on her senior capstone design team, she built reserves and economic models for an unconventional petroleum asset using both probabilistic and deterministic methods, gaining hands-on familiarity with Kappa Citrine, @Risk, Spotfire, ComboCurve, and Enverus. Ms. Camarata earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University, where she was named a Distinguished Student, received the Sterling S. Lacy Jr. '46 Scholar Scholarship, and served as Co-Director and Co-Chair of the Society of Petroleum Engineers' Industry Experiences Committee.
